How about leaving it out in the backyard so it can live a happy life, if you don't know how to take care of it??

We found a medium sized toad and want to know how to set up the tank and what they eat. Any other information about toad care is helpful. It’s currently in a 5 gallon tank or so.
Toads eat live bugs; however, it is unlikely that a wild toad will survive in a tank. They need to be outside in their natural habitat. They like to bury themselves in damp sand, but not get too wet; and they like to sit under live plants so they can catch the bugs that live in there. I don’t know if you can create that kind of atmosphere in a tank. Good luck!

What do I need to successfully care for one fire belly toad.
i have a ten gallon aquarium for mine (make sure you get a lid mine climb the side) but you don't need this big for one
a big water dish (mine spend about 75% of there time just sitting in it)
some dirt for the bottom (i buy a brick of it and when you put water in it, it turns into dirt)
you want some where they can hide (mine have a hallow piece of wood that's called a frog log)
and lots of crickets
i buy a lot and just kept them in a bug catcher and to keep them alive just put a slice of orange and dip a cotton ball in water
i got all this at petco
