I saw these cute little african clawed frogs at the pet store and thought about getting a couple to put in my 10 gallon with my betta and albino corys. Can anyone tell me what sort of care they need? What kind of foods they eat? Will they eat frozen brine shrimp or blood worms or do they require live foods? Do they live their whole lives under water or do they need a spot to rest above water? Also what temp does the water need to be and do they prefer a certain pH?

You can get them, but your betta and corys are going to start coming up missing. The african dwarf frog would be a much better suggestion. They can stay submerged their whole lives, and you can feed them bloodworms and they will probably eat the frozen brine too. They stay too small to harm any of your fish. The temp and pH of your tank are fine as they are.

Today I found a frog in my celery that I was going to use for my thanksgiving dinner. It is a live and I dont know what to do with it. I cant tell what kind of frog it is. It is tiny about the size of a quarter. How do I care for it and what do they need to survive. What do they eat? I am at a loss because I cant set it free I live in the desert. Please Help

Its care will depend greatly on what species it is, for now i would put it into a small container (make sure there are a few holes, a tupperware container should be fine) then put some damp dirt on the bottom, making sure that it is damp but not wet. Put in a piece of bark (well rinsed) for him to hind under. Make sure he stays warm and try to id him online or bring him to a pet store as soon as u can.

I have an African Clawed water frog. He lives in a tank that holds about 2 1/2 gallons of water. When I originally got him, he was very small and in a smaller tank. Since then I've gotten him a bigger tank and he's grown. I feed him shrimp pellets, and maybe around every month I give him 3-5 feeder minnows to eat. I clean his tank about every two weeks.

Is there any way to improve my care on my frog, and if I'm doing something wrong, can you tell me?
