Im thinking of purchasing some fire bellied newts and was wondering if anyone had any helpful hints? Can they live with other amphibians? How deep of water? How often do you feed? How many in a 55 gallon tank? any tips would be helpful.
I have 2 yellow spotted salamanders. Water: 1/2 in. deep.
Food: live or refrigerated crickets. Dirt and foliage

2 questions!
1-is there any FULLY aquatic animal OTHER than an african dwarf frog that can live happily in a 10 gallon tank??Please specify the species and a link to a care sheet!=)
2-is there any sort of eel that stays relitivly small??Under 2 ft, about 1 ft would be better!=)
Plz just tell me whatever you know…even if you don't know the answer to both of the questions!!
=)
Crayfish are fully aquatic, as are most snails. newts spend a lot of time in water, but are not fully aquatic. if you want an eel then try a peacock eel they don't get that big. A fire eel will grow two feet. Other eel zig zag.

I run a daycare from my home, and want to get a pet for the kids that I care for. Many of them don't have a pet at home, and I think that it would be good for them. What type of animal would be the best around small children? I want something that they can touch, and possibly hold.
My state has restrictions on what I cannot have. No reptiles, or chickens, or amphibians, or tigers, or monkeys….
I know, strange rules, but that is what they actually wrote in the rulebook.
fish easy to keep very relaxing and kids love fish
