1. what do they eat?
2. How do i tell if it's poiseness?
3. any particular things i need to know about caring for it?

How about leaving it out in the backyard so it can live a happy life, if you don't know how to take care of it??

You need to determine what type of tree frog you have. They all have different care requirements depending on what part of the world they come from. All frogs require live food like crickets, and it is a good idea for all species to dust the crickets with calcium supplements once a week so the frog can remain healthy. Depending on the species, a tree frog may need humid conditions, or drier and may require higher temperatures than room temperature. All species must have access to clean water, changed daily. It is best to use water that has been standing overnight so the chlorine is removed or one can buy chlorine removers at the pet store that are used for tropical fish.
For the bottom of the cage, it is a good idea to use some kind of bark material, or soil that is specifically designed for amphibians, and cleaned of all parasites.
The most important thing is to find out what species you have, and try to recreate the conditions found in its native environment.

Does any one know if hermit crabs can eat other reptile/amphibian foods? Because a friend recently got me Newt/Salamander food, and I was wondering if hemit cabs can also eat this. Please only serious hermit crab owners. Thanks!

If the food is preservative free (ethoxyquin, copper sulfates and the like) then it should be fine to feed to your hermit crabs.

When I go on vacation, I am thinking about letting my cousin take care of my newt, but there is a problem: he doesn't take care of his animals very well. He has a small herp habitat, but he keeps small fish and frogs in there and I'm afraid they will hurt my newt. How can I make sure he takes good care of him when I'm gone because he's the only one that will?
Simply instruct him that your newt is very important. If he doesn't seem to think it'll be unsafe in this cage give him a shot. Or try asking a friend and pay them a small sum I'd do it for five dollars so I'm sure you could find someone.

Can you successfully capture and maintain health of a yellow spotted salamander? If possible, are pet store supplied insects and worms okay for feeding?
wax worms and crickets are a good fod for them.make thier new home as natural as possible and there should be no problem.
