I caught about 4 small Newts in a Creek in my front yard…I do believe they are Red-spotted Newts in their younger stage of life…and I was wondering if anyone knew how to care for them, and what are the signs that indicate they are changing o adapt to life on land? Any help will be greatly appreciated! ^-^

Ah eastern red spotted newts.. they are awesome… they can climb glass though and are notorious for dissapearing form their open enclosures only to dry up on the carpet behind a dresser or other piece of furnature. Hope these help.

However, may I suggest letting these efts go as amphibians are becomming increasingly rare, so these 4 guys could be good hope for wild populations. Thank you.
